The Rows in Key Block option determines how the symbols are arranged when the key block is generated. (You can use the Ungroup command the separate a generated key block into its individual components). This key block consists of rows of symbols that have been used in the plot that are labeled and grouped together. The Format->Insert->Key Block command adds an automatically generated key block to the plot. However, it is also possible to store graphics in PNG format which will cause bigger file sizes but will possibly result in better quality reproduction. The default JPEG format takes up less space. Imported graphics are stored in one of two formats.
